I loved reading the post and asked Tore if he'd be willing to share his story with us on a podcast. I think his history in the retro (then 'cutting edge') PC scene will resonate with many of us and I'm sure you'll enjoy hearing from him. Interview With Space Invader One
I recently interviewed Ed from the YouTube channel Space Invader One. While we discussed Ed's background and his channel, the focus of the interview is on the main topic Ed covers: Instructional videos about the software UnRAID that allows you to turn any PC into a Network Attached Storage, or "NAS" device. While at first, that might seem like something only IT people would use for backups, the retro gaming world is on the cusp of adopting NAS methods for rom storage and streaming - We're not quite there yet, but if you'd like to get ahead of the curve, definitely check this video out and start experimenting with an old PC and an old set of hard drives. Interview With Remute
I recently did an interview with Remute, where he officially announced his upcoming album ‘R64’ – A complete album with 15 songs released on a Nintendo 64 cartridge, due to release in March of this year! As with his other “game console releases”, R64 generates music using the same methods all original games on the console would have used. In the interview, we discussed how these cartridge-based Remute albums are made, his history and lots more stuff any fan would want to hear! Links to all albums are below and the interview is also available as a video: https://www.retrorgb.com/remute-launches-n64-album-interview.html As for R64, the standard edition is available for about $45 and there’s also a limited ‘Plus Edition’ for about $55 which includes a blue 7″ vinyl containing exclusive and special versions of songs. R64: https://remute.bandcamp.com/album/r64 Previous Albums: https://retrorgb.link/sagremute / https://remute.bandcamp.com/ Social Media: https://twitter.com/remute / https://www.instagram.com/remuteofficial/ Remute also announced that R64 would be the first of a new album trilogy that would be released throughout 2022!: The second part will be released for the Game Boy Advance and the third on the Sega Dreamcast; This will include a cooperation with developer Duranik of ‘Sturmwind’ fame! Remute is also planning a re-release of both the Genesis and SNES albums (‘Technoptimistic’ and ‘The Cult Of Remute’, respectively) in the coming year – I suggest checking the links above to see if Stone Age Gamer or Bandcamp has any left in stock and if not, hopefully this re-release will have you covered! Interview with Open Source CRT Chassis Creator
I recently had the pleasure of talking with Thomas Daede, the creator of an open-source CRT chassis. This project aims to replace the current aging circuitry that drives CRT TV's and arcade machines, with more modern components that allow for more control and flexibility. While the project isn't ready for public testing, Thomas has made some pretty incredible progress so far and this has potential to completely breath new life into older CRT's. Discussing Clone Companies With Nick from HD Retrovision
I make great efforts to keep the content on RetroRGB positive, but doing the right thing often requires discussing the negativities people might run into. I know the unfortunate consequences of that is content that's less easy to digest, but we have a serious problem in the retro gaming world: Cloning. Today, I'm joined by Nick from HD Retrovision to discuss why clone companies don't get shut down, what's the difference between cloning and just building a competing product and how open source might play into that. The second half of the podcast moved onto discussing part shortages, the future of HD Retrovision and other random topics that popped up. This is also available as a video: https://www.retrorgb.com/discussing-clone-companies-with-nick-from-hd-retrovision.html Follow HD Retrovision: https://www.hdretrovision.com/ / https://twitter.com/HDRetrovision Links to their cables are found in the corresponding console section of the website: https://www.retrorgb.com/systems.html If you liked this interview, please don't forget to spread the word and subscribe wherever is the most convenient place for you to get podcasts. In my 10+ years of running RetroRGB.com, there's been one consistent response whenever negativity is discussed: Many listeners send their personal anger my way. That's fine, I'm used to it - But after you're done venting, take a deep breath and remember: If you didn't know the product you purchased was a clone, it's not your fault. You don't need to feel anger or resentment toward yourself or even the clone company. Just make your best effort to use this as a learning experience and decide for yourself what you think is okay or not. 00:00 Clone Company Tactics 22:45 What ISN'T Cloning? 29:14 Clean Room / Moral Issues 40:30 Open Source "Cloning" LINK 58:11 Summing it up 1:06:11 What's up with HD Retrovision? 1:24:09 HDMIzer Still Coming? 1:35:25 Questions From People 1:42:53 Winding down

Podcast With Clint Cronin
I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Clint Cronin: Jiu Jitsu Black belt, instructor, IT professional and retro gaming enthusiast into console restorations, repairs and no cut / reversible modification. This was more of a casual chat / podcast than a formal interview, but I really enjoyed discussing everything from our favorite new stuff in the retro gaming scene, his impressive history as a martial arts pro and everything in-between. I hope we get to do this again at some point, as there's a bunch of stuff I'll be following up on, that I'd be interested in his perspective.
