Sure, there was an allusion to it with mention of Iran and nuclear proliferation, but the word ’terror’ was only
mentioned three times in the two hour debate! Are the Democratic candidates in denial? At a loss for how to win the
war on terror?
When asked - for a lightening round: What is the biggest geopolitical threat to the U.S. in one word? the candidates
mentioned Russia, climate change, China, nuclear proliferation, Iran and even Donald Trump - but no one actually
mentioned ISIS or Al Qaeda or terror attacks.
And Cory Booker, the Senator from New Jersey, was the only candidate who wouldn't pledge to rejoin the Iran nuclear
deal - the doomed agreement President Obama made, and President Trump was brave and foresighted enough to
get us out of because Iran could not be trusted to live up to their part.
The big topic these candidates did talk about was immigration. But, in their eagerness to open the borders, they
failed to acknowledge that ISIS has been recruiting terrorists to gain entry through Mexico and perpetrate attacks
in the U.S.
