On Today’s episode of The World In My Eyes, well I have my panties in a bunch about something and I think you guys might find it interesting, so I thought I’d go ahead and share it with you. As many of you know, I have a good friend by the name of Alice who was going through some work trauma last year, and it’s taken her a while, but she’s finally ready for me to share her story with all of you.

For 10 years, Alice dedicated her life to working for Screw You, LLC. She rose through the ranks from analyst to senior manager. But her path wasn’t smooth. I told her to find another job many times before because they weren’t treating her well. When it was time for her to get a promotion two years ago, she was passed over for another male colleague. The guy was qualified, but she was more qualified. Unfortunately, she had to wait another 6 months before being considered again.

The great kick in the pants is the guy who got promoted quit six months later taking some other job. For managers out there, this is your worst nightmare because those employees who you didn’t promote will not only secretly laugh at your poor managerial decision; they will also make you regret your choice as well.
