I am Cecil (Sesil) Jenkins, of the act, brand as "Sesil & Lujon" The Last Protégé of Marvin Gaye. Below you will find information, I hope will cause you and your friends, whom all loved the legendary Marvin Gaye, to do business. To invent reasons and allow us to perform for you in concert. My mentors memory and music, lives on, and has a greater desire in the market place than ever before. The act Sesil & Lujon was formed at his request before his untimely death. Therefore as well as our own original music, a medley of his music is performed live in concert by Sesil Jenkins and will be through out our career. I live presently in Las Vegas Nevada with the family, My sister Zeola Gaye.
There is a huge anticipation to see this act today, by fans on both the East and West coast; through out the world. Reason, Sesil & Lujon's 1st recordings were manufactured and distributed in joint venture with Macola records out of Hollywood CA. The same distribution company marketed NWA's first hit. Dre, Easy E, Ice Cube. The records were "I Don't Wanna Go" and " Be Yourself " They were played on more than 80 radio stations around the world. The acts timing was their enemy. Rap consumed radio air play around the world. Macola Records file for bankruptcy while the act was touring the East Coast. This was with out the acts knowledge, therefore leaving Sesil & Lujons with out the opportunity to recover. Although barely able to maintain due to marketing dollars, R&B suddenly, was limited and soon after removed from mainstream radio. How ever, like everything in life there is a new surge for the trend setting R&B sound of Sesil & Lujon.
