Girl Power isn’t just an American thing. It is catching on all over… even with terrorists! The first of an all female terror cell was just convicted of a plot to attack the British Museum with guns and grenades. Safaa Boular, 18, of London, was just convicted at the Old Bailey of two offenses of preparation of terrorism acts and an earlier attempt to travel to Syria for terrorism. She is Britain’s youngest convicted female Islamic State terrorist. To say she comes from a very dysfunctional family is an understatement.
Safaa began thinking about becoming a terrorist when she was 14 and her newly-divorced mother began radicalizing her. Her journey towards enacting a terrorist act of her own was accelerated by the 2015 Paris attacks that obsessed her, and falling in love with an ISIS fighter in Syria, Naweed Hussain, who she married over the internet.
After Safaa was arrested, she continued plotting by phone with her sister, Rizlaine and mother, Mina Dich, using Alice in Wonderland coded language. Her sister, Rizlaine, was the Mad Hatter and an attack was a ’tea party'. Rizlaine and their mother bought knives and a backpack and carried out reconnaissance of major landmarks in Westminster. They were arrested just as they were about to commit a knife attack, and now sit in jail. The story has even more dysfunction, twists and turns.
