On Today’s episode of Big Trouble in Little Vagina, I’m not mincing words today - I’m PISSED. No, I don’t have a bug up my butt about the election, even though this particular bug is election adjacent, it’s not about who won, who lost or any of the carnage. No, today’s burr in my saddle is directed at the whiny-a** special snowflake people: The ones that believe that they should get an award just for f*****g showing up and gracing the rest of us with their mere presence. Now I assumed there would be the regular belly-aching and b******g about who won, who lost, nonsense but the story I’m about to parlay to you lovely listeners takes the bloody cake. So, as I was trolling along on my Facebook feed, I came across a story that a friend of mine – and yes, she’s a hard-core politico – thought would be funny to share with me. It seems that Wednesday was one of the hardest days on record for many of the your liberals in our country, and it was apparently so difficult for east-coast academic liberals who were sure–beyond confident–their candidate was going to waltz through the election on Tuesday. You can imagine all the diaper-filling whiny-baby-a** crying that stirred the halls as Donald Trump was announced as the 45th President of the United States – so much so, that one Yale professor decided to make his Economics midterm… optional... WHAT… THE… F**K!?!I mean what a genuine show of compassion, right? I mean, how can we possibly expect a progressive liberal take an EXAM under these circumstances? It’s just not fair… it’s just so hard being an over-privileged a**hat douche these days that these special little f****g snowflakes actually had the audacity to write pleas to their professors to cancel exams. And the truly terrifying part of this story??? Some of these “educators” have actually acquiesced and cancelled their exams or made them “optional”.

Ah, my dear listeners, I know this will be a little strange for you, mostly because I try to post on Wednesdays. And usually, I try to be on topic, but with the election happening this Tuesday, and not knowing who will win, I decided I would go ahead and record my show early and focus on something a little less, well, depressing. So, on Today’s episode of The World In My Eyes there is one story I want to bring up and then we’ll spend the rest of the episode focusing on something a little more inspirational. And with all the speculation and hoopla being tossed around for this election season, it only seemed fitting that we use today’s show to focus on women. At this moment I have no clue who is winning or has won the Presidential election, I’m only sure of one thing and I believe that the clever buggers over at Merriam-Webster’s Twitter page summed it all up all too perfectly. If you didn’t see it, well they updated their Twitter header in honor of the election. And what did they put? Well they decided the most appropriate word possible: Götterdämmerung – for those of you not up to par on your German, it’s translated as “twilight of the Gods” loosely translated from the Norse Ragnorok. And it’s English meaning? Well that’s where the genius of Merriam-Webster comes to light: as they offer the meaning as a collapse (as of a society or regime) marked by catastrophic violence and disorder. And these clever Brainiacs are perfectly on point with their interpretation. We clearly are experiencing Götterdämmerung, and when we wake up tomorrow – we will have the aftermath to clean up after.

We don’t base our decisions on any observable evidence or even factual knowledge; nope, we just make the decision and believe it… like its fact and worse than that, we never change our minds about our assumptions.So today, I’ve got a little ditty for you… and no, it’s not about Jack and Diane, instead, it’s about yours truly, Naughty Nicole and an experience I had recently. So as many of you know, I’m a single gal living here in Hotlanta, so you can assume that I date. On Today’s episode of Big Trouble in Little Vagina, I’m still nursing this head cold from last week, and after spending so much time in bed I’ve had a great deal of time to reminisce and go all retro. And that’s sort of where my head is today, Retro. See, if you’re anything like me, you get sick and lay in bed looking for something to watch… or more to the point sleep to. And for the past few days I’ve been watching a lot – and I do mean a LOT of old movies. Seriously guys, it’s what happens when the batteries in the remote die and you don’t have any replacements handy. I mean, you can scavenge from other remotes and other devices, but in the bedroom, there’s only the handy toy in the bed-side table and that would be an absolute sacrilege to steal batteries from. I mean, I may be sick enough to not go to work, but I’m never THAT sick!So today I want to talk about a film that doesn’t get enough credit – at least in my book – for changing the views of sex in society. But before we jump into the movie version, we have to look at the original theory for the film – I mean, sure, the film was risky, edgy and a phenomenon, but it had to start somewhere… Right? But, if you’re not a film buff like me, or maybe if you’ve been living in a cave for the past 50 or 60 years, then you may not have ever heard of a little book by the name of The Valley of the Dolls by one feisty, fiery and fierce author Jacqueline Susann. That’s right boys and girls… today I’m going to share with you all the wonder and excitement of one of my favorite holidays! Straddling the line between fall and winter, or life and death, Halloween is a time of celebration… and superstition. Believed to have originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, where people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off roaming ghosts, Halloween is one of the most celebrated and misunderstood holidays. Halloween had its beginnings in an ancient, pre-Christian Celtic festival of the dead. The Celtic peoples, once found all over Europe, divided the year by four major holidays. According to their calendar, the year began on a day corresponding to November 1st on our present calendar and marked the beginning of winter. Since they were farmers and shepherds, it was a time when cattle and sheep had moved to closer pastures and been secured for the winter months. Crops were harvested and stored. The date marked both an ending and a beginning in the eternal cycle. The festival observed at this time was called Samhain . It was the biggest and most significant holiday of the Celtic year. The Celts believed that at the time of Samhain, more so than any other time of the year, the ghosts of the dead were able to mingle with the living, because at Samhain the souls of those who had died during the year traveled into the otherworld. People gathered to sacrifice animals, fruits, and vegetables. They also lit bonfires in honor of the dead, to aid them on their journey, and to keep them away from the living. On that day all manner of beings were abroad: ghosts, fairies, and demons--all part of the dark and dread.

It’s just a fact of life. Horny is even more inevitable when you and your partner are sick in bed together — at some point the memories of the healthy sex you once had with each other is going to outweigh how disgusting you feel, and you’ll find yourselves allowing instinct and more primal urges take over.

Dear Presidential Nominees:For the past few months I’ve been sitting on the sidelines watching the circus that is the Presidential race. In years past, this circus was entertaining, but by the time it came down to the wire we’d figure out who the leaders were and weeded out all the rest. The major parties, Republican and Democrat, have always been easy to identify. Republicans (the Right) are normally conservative, oppose gay marriage and abortion and promote the right of gun ownership. Democrats (the Left) on the other hand are liberal, they strive to be more inclusive of all viewpoints, they believe in gay and women’s rights, and feel American’s know best how to spend their money. But with changing times and blurred lines between the established parties there are new parties: the Independent. The Independent party started as a far right party and is often misidentified as a middle-ground of both major parties – which it usually isn’t. And then there’s the tea party – and I won’t even bother with them simply because I haven’t quite figured out where they stand on anything, and ironically, I’m not sure they’ve figured it out either, which is why most Americans don’t take them too seriously. But here we are down to the wire, and I feel compelled to say something… something I think most Americans are thinking or feeling, and maybe we haven’t made it clear to the two of you: so allow me the opportunity to clear this up. We’re tired, oh so very tired. Of what, you may say? Well, you name it, and we’re tired of it. We’re tired of the mud-slinging and the name-calling; we’re tired of the promises and flat-out lies that you tell to garner our favor; we’re tired of the constant assaults on our senses; but most of all, we’re tired of each of you tearing down your opponent in order to win. Not once in this election season have I heard something even remotely like “here’s what my plan for will do for you and your family.” Just once Americans deserve a Presidential nominee that we have longed for; one that stands up and clearly says, here’s what I think you and your family need, here’s how I plan to do it, and here’s how it will affect you. Someone who isn’t interested in things that have happened in the past or how someone’s career up to that point has eliminated them as “Presidential” – quite succinctly, neither of you are Presidential in my book.

On Today’s episode of The World In My Eyes we’re looking at possible global conflict. That’s right boys and girls, we’re talking full-on World War III and the possibility that we’re in the beginning stages of a new global war between the US and its allies in the West versus Russia and its allies in the East. There is currently a dispute on the South China Sea which has severely damaged the United States relations with the People’s Republic of China. After the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague ruled that China’s nine-dash-line claim in the South China Sea, and its land reclamation activities on islets are invalid and unlawful, the United States has been preparing to sail in the area under a so-called Freedom of Navigation principle.This has angered the Chinese. In August, the Chinese Defense Minister, Chang Wanquan told his country’s citizens to prepare for, what he described as the people’s war at sea. Mr Wanquan was referring directly to the United States planned provocation under the pretext of FON. China has since vowed to take all necessary measures available to protect its sovereignty over the South China Sea, revealing that it had the right to set up an air defense zone on the sea. China has also since been positioning and testing its nuclear weapons, and planning military drills on its waters with Russia. Even the United States has confirmed that China has tested an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile, which is capable of striking everywhere in the world within half an hour.Moving away from the South China Sea, towards Syria. It’s no secret the civil war in Syria is a proxy war between the United States and Russia. Russia has even intervened physically at the behest of the Syrian government. The United States, unable to get an invitation to the party, has been secretly arming many rebel groups in the country, with plans to overthrow the Syrian government. Of course, since Russia is an invitee of the Syrian government since last year, the war has been turning in favor of the Syrian government, which was falling before Russia’s intervention.

There was so much going on Monday night that it was difficult to take it all in. And since everything lately has been politics, politics, politics, I’m going to simply do a little fact-checking housecleaning and talk about what pissed me off and what had me nodding my head in agreement. Because if you’re anything like me, you might still be on the fence about who you’re going to support, and well, we’re getting down to the wire.So here we are… inside the great political machine. And if you’ve been here before, you’re familiar with the putrid smell of lies and mendacity and the slight queasy feeling you get just walking through the door. Now that we have leaders for each party – even if we don’t get to hear or see the other two parties – it’s time to get down to brass tacks as it were and debate the issues. Only… if you’re looking for actual issues that will affect your life, family and community… well, you’ve come to the wrong place my friend. Because the only thing either party is interested in is winning your vote. So they will pander and promise to the very worst of society and never deliver a f*****g thing. That’s right either party is going to use you like that bad date that you had one time where you drank too much, had a disappointing and humiliating sexual encounter and were left in a sobbing mess on the floor. Only difference… you won’t get the free meal first. So let’s at least look at how each of the candidates excelled – well, let’s say they exceeded expectations – and where they faltered – or made us so angry we wanted to throw something at the television to make it stop… but we don’t because TVs are expensive and how would we watch the Walking Dead if we broke the TV?
