So as many of you know, I’m a bit of a serial killer aficionado – I watch the documentaries, and just about every show that digs into the why and who of the matter. I’m fascinated with what is in the heads of people that go to this extreme. I want to understand it, I want to wrap my head around those warped thoughts and know why. I know, I know, I’m probably secretly harboring my own dark thoughts, but I would never act on them, so I want to know what pushes someone past that.  Plus I’m writing a new book about a serial killer, but anyway…. a very popular and enduring sub-genre of detective fiction has long been that of what is widely called the "locked room mystery."
