Welcome heathens welcome to the world of the weird and unexplained. I’m your host, Nicole Delacroix and together, we will be investigating stories about the things that go bump in the night, monsters lurking under your bed or deep in the forest, that unknown creature lurking just out of sight and frighteningly imagined creatures, ghosts, supernatural beings or unsolved mysteries. So, sit back, grab your favorite drink, and prepare to be transported to today's dark Enigma....

And on today’s Dark enigma well, I have something a little special for you. I had some really interesting short stories, so I thought I’d throw you guys a double shot. So, with that said, we will still be playing our drinking game and as you know, the drinking game is only for those of us that are at home and have nowhere else to go tonight. The choice of libation is yours, so choose your poison accordingly… Alright, now for the game part, so today’s game is going to be an advanced game. For the first story, how about every time I say Haunt (or any version thereof) that will be a single shot and every time I say Television, that will be a double shot. Then, when we get to the second story I’ll give you new trigger words! Now that the business end is out of the way we can jump headfirst into today’s dark enigma… Alright for tonight’s first feature we have a story about Ghosts in the Machines… Literally: we’re talking Haunted Televisions! I know, just what you need to hear when you’re stuck at home and your television is your only friend. Well, suck it up Buttercup, because here we go

Even as we have progressed as a species and our technology has become ever more advanced, stories of hauntings and communications from the dead have always followed us around. The only difference is that they seemed to have evolved along beside us, changing along with our world and seemingly working their way into our technology. Whereas once ghosts leapt out from old decrepit houses and Ouija boards, now they seem to have a whole new world of avenues through which to break through the wall that separates their domain from our own, and these ways can be every bit as creepy, scary, and indeed terrifying as anything that has come before. One of the more interesting incarnations of hauntings to emerge in the past century is the rise of ghosts that seem to be drawn to TVs, allegedly traveling into these devices through unknown means and reaching out through the screen into our living rooms and indeed our nightmares.
