Show Notes
You will hear stories of three terrorists, who committed very
different acts of terror, in different places and at different
times. They have nothing in common, except that they each
blame someone or something other than themselves in order
to shirk responsibility for their crimes. After you hear all of
these stories, ask yourself who has the best chance of being
de-radicalized in the future.
Shehroz Iqbal blamed his imaginary dog for his propaganda.
He posted video footage online of himself in Central London,
calling for his fellow jihadists to “Attack, attack!” After he was
arrested, he claimed he was merely practicing commands for
a German shepherd. The only problem is, he didn’t have one.
Matthew blamed his stepfather for making his family move
from Indiana to the Middle East, when he was a young boy,
and for forcing him to make ISIS videos threatening
President Trump. Adel Abdel Bary, is a former henchman
for Osama Bin Laden, imprisoned for his involvement in
bombings of U.S. embassies in Africa. He blamed his belly
fat for putting him at risk of Covid19, in order to secure his
release.
