Dark Enigma - Time keeps on slipping... slipping

I’m your host, Nicole Delacroix and together, we will be investigating stories about the weird, wonderful, unexplained, eerie, scary and down-right unbelievable. There will be tales of ghosts, murder, supernatural beings and unexplained mysteries. So, sit back, grab your favorite drink, relax and prepare to be transported to today's dark Enigma....

And on today’s Dark enigma we’re going to be exploring a very strange, but oh so interesting subject of time slips. But what exactly is a time slip? Well, a time slip is an alleged paranormal phenomenon in which a person, or group of people, travel through time into the supernatural (rather than technological) means. As with all paranormal phenomena, the objective reality of such experiences is disputed. But we’ll get into definitions and meanings soon enough, because, that’s right, we have business to attend to first… As always, we will be playing our drinking game but only for those of you that are at home and have nowhere else to go tonight. For tonight’s libation, well that’ll be up to you, preferably any alcohol that makes you lose time: Now for the game part… every time I say Time that’ll be a single shot and every time I say Future, that’s a double shot. Now that we have the business end out of the way we can jump headfirst into today’s dark enigma… and, well because when else will I get to do this… Let’s do the Time Warp again…

The subject of time has always intrigued us. Is it as set as we have always believed? Or does time loop back on itself, giving us a glimpse of a shadowy past out of the corner of our eye. Was is just our imagination that made us believe we had seen an object or building change before our very eyes, and seem as though we had stepped back into the past? Time machines might only be available in the movies, yet many people have experienced unexplained events that seem to be temporary but very real slips into the past or the future. So, what date would you go to if you could travel through time? Would you watch the pyramids of Egypt being built? Join the spectacle of a gladiator battle at the Roman Colosseum? Catch a glimpse of real dinosaurs? Or would you prefer to see what the future holds for humankind? Such fantasies have fueled the success of such stories as H.G. Welles' "The Time Machine," the "Back to the Future" movies, Doctor Who," and countless science fiction novels.
