Show Notes
John Moore's photo of a crying girl at the U.S. border became a symbol of Trump's family separations policy. But the girl wasn't actually separated from her mother. Moore talks with Brian Stelter about how the photo was used on the cover of Time magazine and how pro-Trump media outlets weaponized the controversy over the photo. No matter what, it is an "honest" picture, Moore said, displaying the pain of migrants who cross into the country. He also discusses the broader challenges of covering immigration.
