Inside was a map, a cryptic message, and a chilling promise: ‘Write a good story, and I’ll show you where the others are.’ What police discovered after following the map would lead them to a house with a clean kitchen, a locked basement… and a stack of videotapes that revealed one of the most disturbing serial killers in American history.
