Lucy tells the police that he has shot her mother and states that she was running for her life.
Knowing that she had provided all of the information the police needed she made the courageous decision to return to the scene of the incident and acknowledged the fact that going back to that scene might lead her to death.
Her last words to the operator were “I don’t know if I’m going to be alive if I go back in there. He shot my mum. Bye”.
