A Pandemic. A Missing Wife. And a Husband With Something to Hide

At first, it looked like just another tragic COVID case. A woman in Florida—Gretchen Anthony—texted her loved ones to say she’d tested positive. She was being rushed to the hospital, then transferred to a special CDC facility. She said she was on a ventilator. Her coworkers got the same message: 'I’m quarantined. I won’t be in for a while.'

But there was one problem.

None of it was true.
