"Help! I am NOT a salesman...I am a Teacher!" This is what I hear often when I speak with teachers who are anticipating their first micro-school opening, and are afraid to get his/her first clients/students. They often ask, "How Do I find my first set of students? What do I do? I need action steps!" I can relate. I felt the same way! But the good news is...there is no need to fear, act "salesy", or hustle to find your first paying clients.
In today's episode, I discuss the action steps I took to take the scare out of trying to start a business and then go find your clients. Advertising is an important part to opening your doors and ensuring students come. However, it's not the hardest part of this journey-it's the most rewarding. If you think I stood out on the street with signs, or had banners waving outside my house...no! I didn’t have a yard sign.
