During the two day's Ms Dhu spent in police custody in Western Australia, she was dropped to the floor, lifted by her hands and feet, and another prisoner was dragged into her cell to stare at her. She died of preventable causes aged just twenty-two, while a white officer stood over her saying she was "faking it".
