He shares how the Lord led him to Red Mountain, how he became an elder and what it is like being one at the church, and what his current stage of life is like now. In this episode, Judah Nieman shares his experience about IBC (Indigenous Bible College) and what the Lord taught him on that trip. He said there were a wide range of ages on the team and that he was the youngest and that it “was amazing to hear these peoples’ life story that have lived so many more years than me. And they have lived honorable, God-honoring lives.”

In this episode, Jamie Davis shares her thoughts on prayer, being a mom, and her volunteer work at Red Mountain, particularly in Mom to Mom, a group of mothers who get together for conversation and encouragement. Through regular prayer she has found “more peace, more clarity. I have been changed and challenged. I think when it comes down to it, the only thing that matters is your relationship with the Lord and your relationship with others.”

In this episode, Angie Phillips shares how the Lord met her and walked with her through a very difficult time in her life when she underwent two craniotomies. In this episode, Doreena Wiegert shares how God walked with her through an incredibly difficult time of grief and loss. After the tragic death of her first husband, God helped Doreena eventually forgive the men responsible, and through that tragedy, brought about transformation to the prison system. Doreena may “officially” be retired from work, but she stays plenty active–currently shepherding others in their grief through the GriefShare Ministry, helping with the TLC team, and is also a member on our Safety & Security Team.

Kathleen Cochran, a faithful member of Red Mountain and leader of the Prayer Shawl Ministry, shares how the Lord uniquely gifted her to serve in a variety of capacities, and how she has seen the Lord at work in her obedience. She also shares insightful encouragement for discerning how to step into serving God’s kingdom.

Russ Ortiz, a former MLB player, shares how he came to faith and what was integral to remaining steadfast in the Lord throughout his career. Looking back on his life so far, he shares how he is able to recognize the ways the Lord protected him, provided for him, and kept him grounded.

James Nieman, widely recognized as the saxophone player on the worship team, also has a heart for serving youth in student ministries and shares how the Lord faithfully walked with him throughout his life; from his earliest memories as a child, through experiencing a horrific tragedy in his youth, to bringing him back to himself in his late teenage years, God set him on a course that has allowed him to impact others for the Kingdom.

“The Lord adopted me on a whole other level; He says, ‘My home looks completely different from anything you’ve experienced.'” In this episode, Krystle Porter, a humble and kind member of our church and mom of five, shares how the Lord graciously pursued her and revealed Himself to her as the One who would completely fulfill the deep yearning she had to be loved. When she placed her trust in Jesus at 17, He adopted her into His family and provided a pathway to find healing and freedom from the pain of her past. Now as Krystle parents her own children, she sees how the Lord is redeeming parts of her broken childhood and reminding her of His perfect, fatherly love for her.

Preston Zeller is an artist in our church body with accomplishments across multiple mediums, including film, photography, music, and fine art. Following the death of his brother in 2019, Preston set out to paint for a year straight to process his own grief and share the experience along the way to stir conversation about how we deal with grief in society.
