Beatriz Villarroel, Researcher at the Nordic Institute for Theoretical Physics, Awarded the L'Oréal-Unesco Prize for Women in Science, Principal Investigator at The VASCO Network joins Chrissy Newton to discuss her recent findings. Based on current European Space Agency data, there are 5,800 functioning satellites in orbit, with nearly 31,590 debris objects that have been logged and continuously tracked by Space Surveillance Networks. But what about the rare and curious astronomical objects that may have vanished or appeared in our sky? And What could make an object vanish entirely or appear out of nothing? Could they be alien artefacts or from ET?
