Rebel Roundup: Guests Ezra Levant, Keean Bexte, & Ben Davies!

Welcome to Rebel Roundup, ladies and gentlemen – and the rest of you – in which we look back at some of the very best commentaries of the week by your favourite Rebels. I’m your host, David Menzies. How bad is LavScam getting for Justin Trudeau? Would you believe that dozens of young women who would’ve given him a standing ovation in the House of Commons just a few months ago, are now literally turning their backs on the PM? Rebel Commander Ezra Levant has the latest on the ongoing SNC-Lavalin dumpster fire. So our Calgary Mission Specialist was in the riding of Calgary Varsity the other day doing what all reporters do: asking questions. But current NDP candidate/former communist Ann McGrath didn’t care for his questions. So she called the cops! Keenan Bexte joins us with the details! Our Tinsletown Rebel recently attended a screening of the entire Dark Knight trilogy, an event hosted by director Christopher Nolan himself. Unsurprisingly, many on the left loathe the right-of-centre narrative of these films. Ben Davies joins us to explain why these leftists are really a bunch of jokers. And finally letters. I’ll share some of your responses regarding the removal of a high-risk transgender pedophile from a female halfway house in Brampton, Ontario. Apparently he violated his parole conditions in less than a week – gee, who saw that coming?

Where would you build a factory: Trudeau's Canada, or Trump's America?

The Ezra Levant Show (April 5, 2019) — If you were going to build a factory somewhere, or invest in a company somewhere, which side of the Canada-U.S. border would you choose? You don’t need to answer. The jobs numbers already did... GUEST Bernard Hancock

This “one very simple question” about Trudeau and SNC-Lavalin still needs to be asked

The Ezra Levant Show (April 4, 2019) — He really needs this SNC Lavalin problem to go away. Because if it actually goes to trial, and if actual facts come out, it perhaps will become an extinction-level event for him and his party, by revealing something that we don’t yet know, but that’s lurking... Alberta election midway point checkup: Where’s the mainstream media? (Guest: Keean Bexte)

Two weeks down, two left to go. We have reached the wild and wacky midway point in the Alberta election campaign. The second week was even crazier than the first. NDP activists and their proxies in the left-leaning media are oozing desperation. This week, NDPers protested proposed UCP changes to GSA laws that would bring Alberta in-line with nine other provinces in Canada. The changes if implemented, would allow teachers to use their discretion to notify parents if their child joins a gay-straight alliance support group. The current law prohibits parental notification under any circumstances. There was only one reporter at the astro-turf protest bringing you the other side of the story. And he was harassed and abused by a so-called “anti-bullying” tolerance mob, catching all of it on camera. There is only one reporter asking Notley hard questions about her alleged drug-abusing cabinet Minister Deron Bilous, and only one reporter tracking down failed Education Minister David Eggen to ask him about Alberta’s failing test scores. Of course, I’m talking about my Calgary based Rebel colleague, Keean Bexte. Keenan joins me tonight in an interview we recorded yesterday to look back at the first half of Notley’s last campaign as Premier of Alberta. P.S. To get your copy of Stop Notley: The Case For Throwing Out The NDP, and to sign up to get your very own orange lawn sign to help promote my book - because you know the mainstream media won’t give it any coverage - go to StopNotley.com.

Jody Wilson-Raybould vs. Justin Trudeau: How will this end?

The Ezra Levant Show (April 2, 2019) — Many Liberal MPs must be disillusioned. Every Trudeau fan is — even the Trdueau-lovers at Macleans. They call him "the imposter" now. Only the journalists that he literally pays, like Rosemary Barton of the CBC, still carry his water, and it’s just pitiful. So how will this all end? GUEST Andrew Lawton

Why the Liberals' carbon tax is a scam. (No, you're not getting that “rebate”...)

So the Liberals' carbon tax is nuts. It's a scam. As of today, you are now paying more for anything that moves and anything that’s warm. In a large country and a cold country, that’s everything. The whole point is to make you poor enough so you don’t do the things you like, like go on vacation or have a warm house in winter. GUEST: Joel Pollak

Rebel Roundup: Guests Amanda Head, Keean Bexte, & Sheila Gunn Reid!

Welcome to Rebel Roundup, ladies and gentlemen – and the rest of you – in which we look back at some of the very best commentaries of the week by your favourite Rebels. I’m your host, David Menzies. What a turn of events! It looked like Jussie Smollett was going to be doing some time in the slammer for that outrageous hoax he masterminded. But then, all charges were dropped. Amanda Head will explain why it’s very convenient to have friends in high places these days – and why this story is far from over. Are you transphobic? If you’re not sure, you can take the transphobia quiz in a new book called, “Transphobia – Deal With It and be a Gender Transcender.” Did I mention that the propaganda in this book is being foisted on 11-year-old kids in Nova Scotia schools? Keean Bexte has all the unbelievable details. Our resident trouble-maker, Sheila Gunn Reid, has been criss-crossing Alberta with her Stop Notley signs. Judging by the size of the crowd that greeted her in Nisku, and what they had to say about why many of them drove so far to get their sign, it would appear major regime change will occur in the weeks ahead. Sheila Gunn Reid joins us tonight to talk about how the pop-up sign stops across the province to promote her new book, “Stop Notley: The Case For Throwing Out The NDP,” are going. And finally letters. I’ll share some of your responses regarding my brief interview with Jordan Hunt, that Toronto male feminist who seems to have a fetish for physically assaulting women who espouse opinions that… trigger him. Spoiler alert: he didn’t lay a hand on me during our encounter. I wonder why?

Alberta Election Edition: NDP go heavy on character attacks, light on policy (Guest: William McBeath, Save Calgary)

The first week of the four week long Alberta election campaign is under our belts. Alberta's Liberation Day from the NDP will come on April 16th, 2019, but in the meantime, they’re going as low as they possibly can to attack the United Conservative Party. We’ve seen thirty year old allegations of homophobia, leaked Facebook messages, and accusations of racism and white supremacy galore from the NDP and their enablers in the mainstream media. But, character assassination is all the NDP really have since they don’t have a record of fiscal competence, economic growth, job creation, pipeline construction, or standing up for Alberta against Trudeau to campaign on. The rhetoric coming from the NDP camp is over the top and the policy announcements are nearly nonexistent. Joining me tonight to try to make sense of the NDP hyperbole and innuendo, and to dissect the first week of what is going to be an insufferable 28 days, is William McBeath of Save Calgary.

Rebel Roundup: Guests Ben Davies, Sheila Gunn Reid, & Amanda Head!

Welcome to Rebel Roundup, ladies and gentlemen – and the rest of you – in which we look back at some of the very best commentaries of the week by your favourite Rebels. I’m your host, David Menzies. Well, the election campaign in Alberta is off and running. And thanks to her rhetoric, Premier Rachel Notley is already channeling... Hillary Clinton?! Yikes! Alberta Bureau Chief, Sheila Gunn Reid, who just launched her new book “Stop Notley,” offers her analysis. It’s funny, isn’t it? Late-night talk show hosts such as Stephen Colbert incessantly dine-out on bashing President Trump, saying that his policies are harming Americans and America. But the facts show otherwise. Amanda Head drops by to deliver the proof. There’s a leftist-fuelled hate-fest raging right now regarding comments made by actor Charlie Hunnam. You see, Charlie lauded Jordan Peterson for saying things that actually make a lot of sense. And for some reason, this is offensive to the progressives? Ben Davies joins us to explain all. And finally letters. I’ll share some of your responses regarding an Ottawa condo board that has told a Major in the Royal Canadian Air Force that he cannot fly a Canadian flag at his condominium. And no, we’re not making this up…

UN elites plot to “transform” the way we live at Nairobi Environment Assembly (Guest: Alex Newman)

The election was just called in Alberta and we finally have the chance to shake the yoke of our socialist oppressors off of our necks. But that imminent reprieve from the NDP certainly doesn't mean that there isn't another network of powerful control freaks lurking, biding their time for the next opportunity to fundamentally change the way we live our lives. I’m talking about the United Nations. The UN just wrapped up their 4th Environment Assembly in Nairobi, Kenya. And the language coming out of that conference should raise the neck hairs on freedom lovers all across the globe. They want to “transform the way we live” through a “New World Order.” Those are their words, not mine. This elite conference was underreported in the mainstream media, but it was heavily documented by the conservative New American Magazine. The New American keeps their eye on the United Nations in a way we never see done by the mainstream information gatekeepers, providing in-depth coverage on prominent summits, as well as the smaller ones like Nairobi. My guest tonight is Alex Newman, author and star columnist at The New American. We are discussing his coverage of recent events from the United States and around the world, from the United Nations to Donald Trump's new climate panel, to New York's recent walk towards infanticide.

Rebel Roundup: Guests Ezra Levant, Amanda Head, & Keean Bexte!

Welcome to Rebel Roundup, ladies and gentlemen – and the rest of you – in which we look back at some of the very best commentaries of the week by your favourite Rebels. I’m your host, David Menzies. Ezra Levant is just back from the UK where he was covering the latest Tommy Robinson trial... a trial in which Ezra himself became part of the story. And what a story! Ezra Levant joins us with the details. As the dumpster fire known as LavScam continues to blaze, Justin’s loyal Liberal minions are touring the Dominion trying to cause distractions to make us all forget about this scandal. Is it working? Calgary-based Rebel Keean Bexte joins us to explain why he doesn’t think so. It should go without saying that those who sexually prey on minors should be locked up, shunned, and vilified... and that’s typically the case. But they do things differently in Hollywood. Apparently, perverts are tolerated in Tinseltown as long as they’re making money for the studios. Our Hollywood Conservative Amanda Head will explain all. And finally letters. I’ll share some of your responses regarding our mission to Ottawa last Monday in which we delivered some very stern messages to the Trudeau Liberals via our jumbotron-equipped truck. Oh, what a day!

A pro-life voice reports from inside the anti-family “UN Women” event (Guest: Mattea Merta, Campaign Life Coalition)

The single largest anti-family conference you have never heard about is taking place in New York this week. It’s called the 63rd Commission on the Status of Women and the two week long gathering is hosted by the United Nations. At the conference feminists, politicians, control freaks and bureaucrats meet to plot the next stage in global women’s advancement. But, they aren’t focused on real things, like getting women the franchise in Saudi Arabia or freedom from a compulsory hijab in Iran. No, these do-gooders are focused on intersectional feminism, climate change and freeing women from the shackles of the patriarchy. Patriarchy, by the way, is just progressive shorthand for “loving, stable familial relationships.” I’ve been to this sort of crazy UN conference before, but never to this one, so I’m dying to know what kind of third-wave feminist madness is unfolding behind closed doors. Fortunately, I found a pro-family conservative who’s at the conference to give us the inside scoop. Joining me tonight from Campaign Life Coalition in an interview we recorded yesterday afternoon, is conservative, pro-life activist Mattea Merta.

Trudeau loves to apologize — except for his own mistakes (Guest host: David Menzies)

The Ezra Levant Show (March 13, 2019) — If Justin’s self-entitlement is indeed preventing him from making a personal apology, then this is ultimately a self-defeating strategy. That’s because the public is very forgiving. But the caveat is that you have to be honest and sincere rather than evasive. Some high-profile UK and Canadian politicians recently proclaimed their love for a free press. Just one caveat: apparently, the media has to follow an appropriate narrative in order to earn their love. Sheila Gunn Reid has all the details. Trudeau tells yet another version of his SNC-Lavalin story — “and he might get away with it”

How much “green money” do ENGOs have to steer politics in Canada? (Guest: Michelle Stirling, Friends of Science)

Monday night in Toronto, Justin Trudeau held a climate change rally. It was a desperate and transparent attempt to change the channel from the snowballing SNC-Lavalin obstruction of justice crisis hitting the Liberal government and swallowing up the PMO. Trudeau has lost two high-profile cabinet ministers — AG Jody Wilson-Raybould and Treasury Board President, Jane Philpott — after allegations surfaced, that he and several high-profile Liberals and partisan bureaucrats improperly pressured the former AG to defer prosecution of the Montreal-based engineering firm. But the most pressing issue for Justin Trudeau on Monday was… climate change? That’s weird, especially when poll after poll shows that climate change is not a top of mind electoral issue for most Canadians. In fact, environmental issues regularly poll lower in importance to voters than jobs, pipelines and the economy. With the popularity of three carbon tax fighting premiers, Doug Ford, Scott Moe and Blaine Higgs, and the impending election of a fourth, Jason Kenney, carbon taxes and climate change are losing issues for the Liberals. But, somehow these two items remain Liberal flagship issues. They won't shut up about them! That’s because of the power and influence environmental NGOs have over the electoral system in Canada. It's all about cash, and they have a lot of it. Sometimes single ENGOs are able to out-fundraise major political parties. My guest this evening has all the details. Joining me tonight to discuss her recent report exposing the enormous sums of money ENGOs have to steer politics in Canada is Michelle Stirling, communications manager for Friends of Science.

Tommy Robinson flipped the script on the BBC and Rebel Media had a front row seat (Guest: Kelly Day)

Tommy Robinson flipped the script on the media and the Rebel had a front row seat. Robinson captured the BBC’s flagship investigative journalism show, Panorama, colluding with far left-wing activist group “Hope Not Hate”, to create a false narrative about him - that he was a sexually harassing employer and a virulent, violent racist. Robinson presented the evidence in a documentary called “Panodrama,” playing it on a big screen before thousands of adoring fans in front of the BBC offices. Since then, Robinson’s Facebook and Instagram accounts have been suspended, suspiciously, just as his movie reached 1M views on Mark Zuckerberg’s omnipotent social media platform. The Rebel was there at the world premiere of Robinson's documentary because, as Robinson’s documentary revealed, you just can't trust the mainstream media. Ezra Levant was on stage to get the other side of the story, and so was someone else Ezra brought with him all the way from Canada. Singer-songwriter, Kelly Day flew from Prince Albert Saskatchewan to the UK to perform her beautiful and stirring rendition of Owen Benjamin’s, How They Rule Ya. Today, a slightly jet-lagged but still fired-up Kelly, joins me on the Gunn Show, to give us the inside scoop on all the Panorama drama, and so much more.

Truth, lies and the CBC: The full story on the United We Roll Convoy to Ottawa (Guest: Keean Bexte)

The United We Roll Convoy for Canada has made its way to Ottawa, which has mainstream media smear-merchants working over time to discredit the convoy and the pro-pipeline message they brought along for the long ride. Without speaking to any of them, a Maclean’s editor called the convoy “white nationalists.” The CBC said this in a Tweet: “a convoy of angry Albertans and other westerners rolls into Ottawa today for a mass protest against federal energy and environmental policies that has also become a magnet for extremist, anti-immigrant elements” With one tweet, CBC managed to make the case for their own defunding while simultaneously proving how elitist they are about the concerns of everyday Albertans. CBC can't possibly know what people on the convoy are thinking because they haven't been on the convoy, except for a few hundred kilometres. Everything the CBC writes about the mindset of those on the convoy is speculation, laden with anti-blue collar bias, and peppered with a desire to protect Trudeau at all costs. Only one reporter has been with these folks the entire time, from morning prayers to late night hotel dinners, and that was our Rebel reporter, Keean Bexte. Keean Bexte joins me tonight to bring us the real news from the United We Roll Convoy for Canada, and to bring us the other side of the story that you won’t see anywhere else in the mainstream media.
