Reanimated Podcast

Reanimated went back to remedial Spanish classes for the most recent episode of FTWD entitled "100." The show packs a lot of good stuff into a tight little story arc in this one and it's good to be reunited with our favorite Central American hitman/torturer. We also had a chuckle at the expense of the gushiest articles about FTWD courtesy Forbes.

Lots of interesting developments back at Broke Jaw in episode 3 this week on Reanimated. Meanwhile, things aren't looking good for Strand with his frenemy Dante.

We jump fresh from the end of our recap of season 6 of TWD into the new season of FTWD. Watch out for all the spoilers, because it's basically just a big bucket of spoilers, but hey we gotta cope somehow. Listen along to join in the group therapy.

Thank the maker, it's over. It's finally over. Now we can look forward to Fear the Walking Dead Season 3. I can't wait to see what sort of fun adventures Travis gets up to, as well as the rest of the gang, but mostly Travis - he's the best.

We get to start growing the world with a visit to Hilltop and then go on a crazy murder spree at the Satellite Station in these two episodes of The Walking Dead this time on Reanimated.

On Reanimated 139 we recapped the mid season premiere of S6, No Way Out, as well as the feel-good The Next World. One good thing about No Way Out - we basically never spend another second of this show or storyline thinking about Pete, Jessie, Ron or Sam, Alexandria's doomed family. A lot of people liked The Next World, but we pan it for being too floofy.

Glenn's miraculous survival is undermined by dull conversations with angsty teenager Enid, the walls fall down and nothing is looking good for Alexandria.

Alexandria deals with being surrounded by walkers and unlikely romances are kindled this time around on TWD.

Who put Nicholas in charge of getting everyone home safe? RIP

In a very special "in person" episode, Reanimated hosts came together in one room to record the podcast for once. On this momentous occasion your hosts chose to begin reviewing Season 6 of TWD.

Eat your heart out Warm Bodies. This is the zomcom we all deserved, the zomcom we needed.

It was a grindhouse kinda day for Reanimated in episode 133. Our hosts had a good ole time being reminded just how bad B movies were back in the day, but in a good way. It's Maniac Cop!

Reanimated needed a group prescription for mind-numbing anti-depressants after finishing Rec2, which oddly, is a good thing. Man, it's good to be back in Spain, getting jumped by demon zeds.

A very faithful adaptation made for an interesting film experience for Reanimated. We had a couple of moans about the loss of the Junkers, but overall it was :thumbsup:

We were split on the Netflix Olyphant, Barrymore project, with H.A. getting some good laughs out of it, while Stuart felt like there wasn't enough sincerity.

It's a tasty medley of The Rezort followed by two episodes of The Santa Clarita Diet for this episode of Reanimated.

It's dark and brutal but it's undeniably one of the best executed zombie TV shows out there. Reanimated polishes off Dead Set in episode 128.

At least one good thing came out of 2017 so far, and that was Netflix putting Dead Set up in its catalog. Get it while you can.

Reanimated rounds out season 5 of TWD in this episode. Concluding that Nicholas is a shell game of a character who only exists to put more important characters in danger, Deanna pulls a 180 on violent punishments and did Carol orchestrate Pete's psychotic episode?

Rick's group continues to take over Alexandria from within with their cunning plan.

It was an interesting trio of TWD episodes in Reanimated's ongoing review this time around with episodes 10-12 of Season 5. Rick's group gets broken down so it can arrive in style at Alexandria and we are introduced to many new characters, including

YOINK, there goes your family reunion, Maggie. Reanimated covers some tough ground with TWD Season 5 Episodes 7-9 in this show. The last couple of times that actually meaningful character deaths happen before season 7.

Hanging with Beth Greene, gosh it feels so good to spend time with her again. Reanimated trips down memory lane to three episodes of our fractured group, with Beth, Abraham and his gang and catch up with Daryl and Carol on their mission in the city.

We're back to The Walking Dead prime - yea though most of us walk through the valley of the shadow of season 7, reanimated fears no evil, because we're still on season 5 of our mega comprehensive TWD review, yo!

After some shocking emoji news, Reanimated gets down to brass tacks with a review of Cell - the poorly received Stephen King adaptation about how your obsession with your phone will make you eat your dog.

Freaks of Nature is a dumb movie, but it's a dumb movie with a great cast and solid performances that basically carries the stupid premise and hokey plot. Check out our review!

Contortionists, some moral lessons and all around awesome were all parts of this fun zed flick.

Fear the Walking Dead recreated the quarry zombie corralling scene from Season 6 of TWD in miniature scale. Reanimated was there to poke holes and question all of it.... I mean as they watched it on TV, not actually there in Mexico.

The show checks in with poor Travis and his ill-fated progeny. It gets pretty bro-y. Then the hotel storyline picks up so that's cool.

Reanimated picks back up with its favorite fare - zombies! The downside is that H.A. and Stuart are pretty skeptical that FTWD is the show we wanted it to be at this point. Will Season 2B be the course correction that the show needs?

We hammer out the final three episodes of the first season of Outcast and what a ride that was. Many stories of couples play out. Kyle and the Rev, Mark and Megan, Sidney and Aaron, etc. Also Flakka is a thing.

Reanimated goes off book for a review of Robert Kirkman's latest comic-to-television project "Outcast." Our hosts were by turns revolted and intrigued in this exorcism and demonic tale told in the back woods of West Virginia.

Fear the Walking Dead really plumbs the depths of how likely the zombocalypse is to drive you insane. They seem to think that 37 percent of survivors in a a group will just go totally nuts. The rest will vary between useless, fine I guess and can't tell -- too martyr-y.

Lots of new characters were introduced in episodes three and four of FTWD season 2, to varying degrees of success. Shame Chris is still awful.

Bad navigation, unscheduled swim breaks, suicidal survivalists and radio romance dominate this episode of the podcast.

Season four of The Walking Dead is over. Well, it's been over for years, but that doesn't mean Reanimated can't wish it was still going on. Rick started the season as a pacifist and ended it by tearing out a man's throat with his teeth. The good times are over, it seems.

Reanimated nears the end of season 4 of TWD with episodes 13 and 14. We get to know Bob a little better. Maggie kills things with signage. Lizzy looks at the flowers.

We tag along in the post-prison existence of Rick, Carl and Michonne and then with Beth and Daryl, as episodes "Claimed" and "Still" let us get in touch with some feelings. This episode is brought to you by peach schnaps - "it's not that bad, you guys."

In this epsiode: Carl puts on his big boy pants and then almost immediately craps himself; Tyrese is stuck in charge of a post-apocalyptic daycare; and Glenn switches back and forth between death's door and hulk mode.
