Happy Founder's Day! Let's all celebrate Governor Milton and Sebastian and their glorious leadership of the Commonwealth. You'd think with a name like Common Wealth, they might be a little less cringey with their monocle-wearing elitism, but hey at least they have gladiatorial combat.

It's starting to sink in that these are the final eight episodes of The Walking Dead prime show. This installment brings Hornsby some fresh, terrible wounds, which is nice. Josh Hamilton continues to delight and surprise us with his turn as a fiendish all around bad guy. We also talk about how vampires and witches seem to be having a bit of a moment and that's cool.

Reanimated goes hunting for some uber vamps with Day Shift on Netflix. This was a fun movie, with great action and world building, but left us wishing there was more character development for some of the supporting cast. Would watch more Dave Franco and Jamie Foxx buddy cop movies.

We close out Tales of the Walking Dead with two more genre-bending episodes this week on the show - Davon and La Doña which take us into some Tales from the Crypt territory. Ms. Conrad spills the beans about the PPP easter egg prime show crossover and the amount of story hooks for the main show or another anthology really just keeps piling up. Have a listen!

Samantha Morton delivers once again as Alpha in "Dee" on Tales, but a few things don't add up in "Amy/Dr Everett" - Reanimated has questions.

After being so crestfallen over Fear the Walking Dead (we don't like quitting things) and not loving The World Beyond, it's been a huge rush to start getting into Tales of the Walking Dead! Also props to COVID-Conrad for pushing through for the episode.

We check out Malnazidos a.k.a. Valley of the Dead this week on the podcast for some Spanish Civil War zombies. This is a fun movie - lots of jokes, lots of zombies, what more can you ask for? Perhaps a scruffy-looking nerfherder to lead the ensemble named Jan (pronounced Han)? This movie has that too!

I know! I know! I said we'd have a fresh episode this week. Well COVID done made a liar outta me. HOWEVER, I can't lie when I say that it's been fun to trot these ole samples out of storage. We sat down and hammered out the rest of the season of Resident Evil on the show this week. Still mystified by the low reviews, absolutely astounded by the quality of the performance logged by Lance Reddick. Hot damn! However, it's got its problems -- at least one snoozer episode and the resolution of the 2022 storyline leaves too much untold. However, it's a fun show. Check it out.

It was back to New Racoon City High School this week to watch Billie's fairly swift descent into crazy, while future Jade barely stays ahead of Umbrella by jumping from a series of frying pans into a series of fires. Resident Evil continues to be wholly entertaining - come hear our impressions of episodes The Devil You Know and The Light. Day of the Dead aired last fall on SyFy and then seemingly vanished. The homage to Romero feels very baked in and was a decent watch, though it struggles to rise to the level of a Black Summer.

This week, Reanimated chalks up another movie that adds to the margin of error in the zombie genre. We wish Unhuman was better, but sadly, it was worse.

The second Wyrmwood movie serves up more zombie road warriors on the show this week. Plus we dish about some exciting new trailers and announcements!

We went full Aussie on the podcast with a look at Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead, a high-octane, zombocalyptic vision that came about through some crowdfunding and the same sort of skill and passion that brought us The Battery in years past.

A slight detour into the MCU leaves some Reanimators woefully lost in the lore of the MultiMarvelVerse, making one host consider sticking to the rivers and the streams that you’re used to. However, a good time was had by all!

We closed out the second third of TWD’s final season with some high dramatic stakes, one or two groan-inducing moments of cliche but overall just left impressed by the caliber of the talent on this cast. Josh Hamilton’s Lance Hornsby is horrible and it will be fun to see where this goes.

Things are getting complicated with the Commonwealth. Acts are being committed that will prove difficult to undo, lines are being drawn and Negan is apparently going to be a dad. Huh? Also, Michael Biehn is there! and Jason Butler Harner does a fantastic turn as Toby Carlson.

We're continuing to churn through the the Walking Dead prime's final season, this time starting off with a Cudlitz directed "Rogue Elements." We still have questions about the Commonwealth but these episodes are gripping and entertaining.

A slight switch of gears this week as we leave Fear the Walking Dead Behind and head back to Virgeorgia for a dose of the prime show. It’s night and day in terms of quality of storytelling.

In a recap hail mary, we covered the remaining four episodes of Fear the Walking Dead season 7A this week on the podcast. The show feels like it's in a nearly unrecoverable flat spin, as plots and characters increasingly feel cartoonish, the stakes feel ever smaller despite outlandish plot devices that are presumably to create the opposite effect.

With Cindy Hawkins, we got to go back inside the hatch from Lost with a musical montage portraying how well June and Sr are getting along, but Teddy's ghosts come back to haunt them. Breathe with Me wraps up the Emile storyline once again and finally addresses the "Where's Wendell?" issue that the writers didn't really worry about for 16 episodes. Between commentary on bullying, classism, whiny teens and preoccupied adults, there's a ton here, oh plus ZOMBIES! So settle down with a bucket of Cheong-san Chicken as we go back to school.

This one brought back a lot of Playstation-induced terror as a more faithful reincarnation of the video game series in film form. With that cast and darling little Lisa Trevor, we were totally on board. Very itchy tasty.

We take a trip back to the mid-80s in this episode to review Night of the Creeps. How does it hold up? Come on, let's talk about it.

World Beyond left Reanimated with a couple of treats but it often fell short on delivering what could have been. Several of our dead pool predictions failed to come true, as the show also seemed to be less bloodthirsty than others in the universe. Listen along for our impressions as we put this series to bed.

It’s 2022! and Reanimated is back to continue to gnaw on the bones of the Walking Dead World Beyond second season. Between Jadis’ flawed omniscience, Huck’s less-than-believable work as a double agent and Brody and Lyla’s sudden-but-inevitable betrayals there’s a lot left to be desired here.

The sun finally comes up on Midnight Mass this week on the show as our brave trio of hosts wade through founts of crimson, reams of scripture and several minutes of monologue to close out the Netflix miniseries. It was Blood Red Sky this week on the podcast. This Netflix original had Reanimated wishing we’d taken the voucher when they overbooked the flight, because nobody was getting out of this trip “ok.” Sure, it wasn’t perfect, but Blood Red Sky took some liberties with well-trodden plan-based thriller formulae and we kinda liked that!

Jam packed episode for our 299th this time on Reanimated! First we tackled What if … Zombies? which was the latest in Disney+’s multiversal musings, then we hit up Ashin of the North for some Jurchens, Joseon and Zombies in medieval Korea AND we did it all with a little help from our friend Kyle who joined H.A. and Stuart for the discussion.

Reanimated returns after some time away to finish up the last two episodes of Black Summer season 2. What a triumph! Not perfect by any means, but a very solid zombie show that we would happily recommend to all fans (except perhaps for fans of Z-Nation who really thought this show was going to be a prequel in spirit as well as in name.) We cover a sliver of news and then dig in, come with!
