<p>Today, Pastor Jack teaches that, as Christ followers, it’s good to be encouraged when we are dealing with spiritual threats. But, there is a danger in needing constant approval from others. If we’re putting God first, fear dissipates, and our focus on the security of possessions vanishes.</p>

<p>Today, Pastor Jack teaches that as we get stronger in the Lord, and are advancing spiritually, we will face resistance. The enemy waits for opportunities to derail our faith, but the danger is not being ready for it.</p>

<p>Today, Pastor Jack teaches that the disciple of Christ loves the Lord and make Him their supreme pursuit in life. If our love for Him is first and passionate, it will enable us to love, care and provide for others, even if it costs, and even in the face of hardships.</p>

<p>Today, Pastor Jack teaches that when we worship the Lord, something awesome happens. We can sense His presence, and all other outside forces are pushed out of our hearts and minds. Worship is our way of honoring God for who He is, not just what He has done.</p>

<p>Today, Pastor Jack teaches that as Christ followers, we have the Holy Spirit inside of us. We can be oppressed by outside forces but not possessed by demonic spirits. God lives in us and gives us the power to overcome any demonic attack.</p>

<p>Today, Pastor Jack teaches that there are forces that are real, and yet do not come from God. This is why the Lord encourages us to stay grounded in Scripture and resist the temptation to seek answers outside of God’s Word.</p>

<p>Today, Pastor Jack teaches that David’s restraint to kill Saul when he secretly had the chance proves to us that true obedience to the Lord happens when no one is watching. Faith over personal vengeance produces lasting change, and victory over the flesh.</p>

<p>Today, Pastor Jack teaches that riches and influence are not a substitute for a heart aligned with God. Nabal was void of wisdom, and his foolishness was rooted in self, pride, and bitterness. But, true wisdom brings blessings, and it will be rewarded.</p>

<p>Today, Pastor Jack teaches that handling the fool is not always about confrontation or judgment. The most effective way is with humility and restraint. Abigail didn’t clash with her husband, but through gracious and humble actions she avoided a crisis.</p>

<p>Today, Pastor Jack teaches that God has a way of exposing a fool. Nabal did not come to a place of repentance, and his sin enraged David. But, Nabal’s wife intercedes for him, and her goodness was an example of God's own heart.</p>

<p>Today, Pastor Jack teaches that fools will resist us, as believers, with insults and slander. David had been a blessing to Nabal, but Nabal tried to get the better of him, and David responded without, first, consulting with God.</p>

<p>Today, Pastor Jack teaches that when we fail to embrace Godly examples, we, ourselves, are acting like fools. But, if we trust in the Lord with all of our hearts, and seek Him first, God promises to direct our paths.</p>

<p>Today, Pastor Jack teaches that even though David was the one who was sinned against, he supported Saul by honoring him as God’s anointed king. There was no evil in David’s heart. An awesome response from a man after God’s own heart.</p>

<p>Today, Pastor Jack teaches that when all human hope is gone, God’s timing, and intervention, may surprise us. David trusted in God’s plan, and his obedience led to blessing and protection in a time that seemed irrational and dangerous.</p>

<p>Today, Pastor Jack teaches that we need God’s wisdom to know when to fight and when to walk away. David was a fugitive with many enemies. But he fought when it was called for, and fled when it was time to escape King Saul.</p>
