BE YOU - Above the Turbulence

Carolyn Deck was born and raised in New Zealand. Taking the courage to conquer past

childhood pain, she used the secrets hidden in the dark crevasses of her life to overcome her

fears, disappointments, and hurts.

In her teens, she traveled as an international student, spending twelve months in Kansas, USA.

Upon her return, she embarked on a career in the travel industry, becoming an Area Manager in

her mid-twenties.

Having spent twenty-five years away from her homeland, Carolyn is no stranger to change

traveling to over twenty countries and experiencing many adventures and trials along the way.

With best friend, husband Brendan of thirty-two years, they have lived in Australia and America

while raising their five children.

Now in her sixties, and published author, her hope is to empower others through her story,

highlighting the truth that our choices matter and how we respond is key. To overcome past pain

while becoming the best we can be, is her message and passion for all to know. There is a living

hope that transforms taking you on a journey to a life never thought possible.
