When she was six years old, she had a strange nightly routine.
Every night around three in the morning, she would wake up, walk down the hallway, and climb into bed with her parents.
One night, as she stood at the foot of their bed in the dim light of the room, she looked up and saw something that didn’t make sense. Her mother was asleep in the bed. But above her… something else was there.
The shape looked exactly like her mother’s face and shoulders, faintly glowing and hovering above the sleeping body below. At the time, the child simply climbed into bed and went back to sleep. Years later, after learning about astral projection, the memory began to raise a very different question.
