At first, the house felt normal. Not old. Not creepy. Just a typical suburban home where nothing should have stood out. But the longer you spent there, the more small things began to feel slightly off.
Voices sounded where no one should have been. Movement appeared where walls made it impossible. Familiar people showed up in places they couldn’t logically occupy—sometimes more than once at the same time. None of it felt aggressive. Nothing ever escalated. That almost made it worse.
The moments didn’t announce themselves as frightening. They arrived quietly, slipped into ordinary routines, and left behind confusion instead of panic. The kind that makes you replay what you saw long after the moment has passed
