The Self-Love Delusion

Over the past several years, I’ve noticed this growing trend of self-love. Self-love is a long-celebrated idea in the culture, but it’s now even a celebrated idea in the church. Most of these sermons use passages of scripture taken out of context and applied far beyond their intended purpose. Satan is good at his job; In order to create a counterfeit doctrine, it has to look like a real doctrine. But the bottom line is this: Self-love is simply a sanitized version of selfishness. So today, we’re going to view the bankruptcy of the self-love doctrine and expose its lies.
