Sabbath, as we will learn today, is a symbolic picture of God’s ultimate plan. In other words, we will see that Sabbath is the goal of history. Like many of His truths, from the Old Testament festivals and Passover to New Testament communion, God offers us physical practices to teach us spiritual realities. So in this episode, we’re going briefly trace Sabbath throughout the Scriptures. We're going to first see His purpose for Sabbath as a pattern for His people, and then also see His picture for Sabbath.
