Ep 215Romans 3:28-31: Do Christians Have to Obey the Old Testament Law?
Christians are quick to say, “Christ died for me.” But often times they forget that Christ also lived for them. Namely, Christ is not only the Cross-bearer for our sin but also the Law-keeper for our righteousness. What does this mean for Christians and the Law (the Ten Commandments)? Since the Law is fulfilled by Christ does it still have a purpose for Christians? If we’re not saved by our obedience but by faith alone, how should we think of the Moral Law? In this episode of Real Christianity, Pastor Dale Partridge answers these questions and more as he continues his teaching through Romans 3:28-31.
Ep 214Romans 3:27-28: The Fallacy of Free Will
A central theme in Scripture is that man may not boast before God. Namely, humanity has no grounds for self-congratulation. 1 Corinthians 4:7 says, “What do you have that you did not receive? If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it?” Ultimately, Scripture teaches that all that we have—from our heartbeat to our faith—is a gift from God (Eph. 2:8-9). This is an essential truth to grasp as we live in a time where many Christians have wrongfully attributed the origin of their ability to“believe. Millions state that while Christ offers salvation, they must, in and of themselves, “choose to believe.” Namely, they do not understand that even their very ability to choose to believe in Christ is given to them by God. In this episode of Real Christianity, pastor Dale Partridge presents the biblical evidence of God’s sovereignty over our salvation and how even our faith is a gift of God.
Ep 213Romans 3:25b-26: The Justice and Justification of God
According to the Bible, we do not have an unjust God. That is, we do not have a God who overlooks sin. Today, many Christians think that God’s mercy takes the place of God’s justice. This is untrue. God does not compromise His justice to save sinners. The Gospel teaches us that no sin will go unpunished. The penalty for man’s sin will either be laid upon the Savior or laid upon the sinner. In this episode, pastor Dale Partridge continues his journey through the book of Romans where he uncovers the justice and justification of God.
Ep 212A Simple Introduction to Postmillennialism with Dale Partridge and Joel Webbon
Eschatology has become a focal point of much discussion in recent years. Most American Christians have been raised under the influence of Dispensational Premillennialism and are greatly unaware of the other orthodox positions. In this episode of Real Christianity, pastor Dale Partridge is joined by pastor Joel Webbon to cover the landscape of the end-times debate while also sharing the basics of their eschatological position—postmillennialism.
Ep 211Romans 3:23-25a: The Three-Piece Plan of Salvation
Salvation is forensic. It rests upon pure justice and logic. The deeper things of God cannot be grasped without first a comprehension of the basics. The order of salvation is fundamental. Without a clear hold of this process, there is no reference point for further theological truths. In this episode, pastor Dale Partridge explains the three-part process of justification, redemption, and propitiation that lays at the foundation of our salvation.
Ep 210Romans 3:20-22: The Heart-Shattering Grace of the Gospel
If the Bible had a bloodline that led to the heart of its message, it would be Romans 3:20-26. Here, in these first few verses, we find the centerpiece of the Gospel—Jesus Christ. Like the sun of our solar system, the entire Bible rotates around this section of Scripture. In this episode of Real Christianity, join pastor Dale Partridge as he preaches through this essential passage and discusses the pivotal Gospel mechanics of salvation.
Ep 209How to Protect Your Kids From Transgenderism with Dale and Veronica Partridge
In a world where children are surrounded by hundreds of expressions of sexual perversion, it’s imperative that Christian parents are intentional to guard the eyes and minds of their little ones. When it comes to transgenderism and homosexuality, the best defense is a good offense. Namely, Christian parents must affirm their child’s God-given gender identity. In addition, they must offer tangible and faithful examples of biblical marriage and family. In this special edition of Real Christianity, pastor Dale Partridge is joined by his wife Veronica Partridge to discuss Dale’s newest children’s book “Jesus and My Gender.”
Ep 208Romans 3:19-20: Are You A Legalist?
Why do so many people in the church fall into legalism? What does the term legalist really mean? When viewing the law of God, it should drive us to a further understanding of how much Jesus Christ has paid through His sacrifice on the cross. In this episode of Real Christianity, Pastor Dale Partridge continues his exposition of Romans 3:19-20 wrapping up the final portion of Paul's denunciation of legalism. In the previous episode, Dale taught on the doctrine of Total Depravity, and how that affects our entire being and is proof of our total dependence on Christ. In this episode, we see how the law of God will hold everybody accountable on the day of judgment, and that it is only by the righteousness of Christ that we can be justified.
Ep 207Can I Expect My Kids to be Saved? Yes, Here’s Why…
In this special edition of Real Christianity, pastor Dale Partridge and pastor Joel Webbon tackle the doctrine of Covenant Succession (or expectant redemption). However, this doctrine, which is most commonly known as a Presbyterian position, is unpacked by two reformed Baptists making this discussion novel and important. Ultimately, this discussion is intended to offer hope to any Christian parent concerned for the souls of their children.
Ep 206Romans 3:13-18: Total Depravity: The Wickedness of Humanity
Outside of Christ, humanity is far more wicked than we know. If the heart and soul of a person is unregenerate, because their soul is separated from the source of life, which is God, then only death will flow out of them. When a person is alive in Christ, life will flow out of them. In this episode of Real Christianity, Pastor Dale Partridge continues his exposition of Romans 3:9–18 in an effort to uncover the doctrine of Total Depravity. In the previous episode, Dale taught on the depravity of the mind, the ears, and the eyes of man. In this episode, we see how that depravity also saturates the body and the actions of man. Namely, we will see how depravity is total in its nature.
Ep 205Romans 3:9-12: Total Depravity: Why No Man Can Come To God
Self-love is blinding. Namely, it’s difficult for man to see his flaws when his view of himself is so lofty. The Bible solves this dilemma by offering a pure and precise view of man—including his fallenness and flaws. According to Scripture, man’s central flaw is his spiritual deadness. A state of the soul that is not righteous, cannot comprehend the Gospel and does not seek for God. It’s a confirmation that no man can come to God without divine assistance. In this episode of Real Christianity, pastor Dale Partridge expounds on this biblical concept as he teaches through Romans 3:9-12.
Ep 204SPECIAL: Should Christians Aim to Take Over the World? - Jeff Durbin and Dale Partridge
The term "Christian Nationalism" has found the political spotlight in recent years. But what is Christian Nationalism and is this concept supported in Scripture? Namely, are Christians called to make Christian nations? Are they called to permeate a culture for Christ? These questions are answered in this special edition episode where pastor Dale Partridge and pastor Jeff Durbin discuss the theological implications and validity of this religious label.
Ep 203Romans 3:1-4: How Covenantal Thinking Will Change Your Relationship With God
God’s people are a covenant people. However, being in the covenant community of the church does not necessarily mean that a person is born again, regenerate, and justified. So if visible covenant inclusion does not equal salvation, what is the value of being in God’s covenant community? This exact question is anticipated by the Apostle Paul in Romans 3:1-4. Join pastor Dale Partridge as he exposits the meaning of this passage in this episode of Real Christianity.
Ep 202Romans 2:25-29: Why Salvation Requires A Changed Heart
Too often we put trust into religious actions to earn us good standing with God. However, this is opposite of what’s taught in Scripture. Only justification through faith in Christ alone can offer us peace with God. In Romans 2:25-29, Paul is preparing his audience for this point. Namely, he is tearing down any and every religious practice that the Jews had placed redemptive hope. His focus in these verses is to strip them of their false understanding of circumcision and show them their need, not for a mark of the flesh, but for a change of the heart.
Ep 201Romans 2:17-23: How Religion Will Send You To Hell
Over the years, I’ve met many people who know the Bible but do not know Christ. They know the Moral Law but do not know the Gospel. In this episode of Real Christianity, pastor Dale Partridge continues to exposit Romans 2 around the issue of the Law. Legalism, the practice of law-following to make yourself righteous before God, was and still is commonplace among the Jews. But more than that, it is commonplace among people within the church. In this passage of Scripture, Paul demonstrates how spiritual activity does not equal spiritual security. But more than that, he strips the religious people of this world of their false hope and presents them with their only hope of righteousness—Jesus Christ.
Ep 200Romans 2:14-16: The Role Of The Conscience In Salvation
The Bible says that every person has a conscience. But what’s divine the purpose of the conscience? Additionally, is this conscience a form of God’s Law for those who have never heard of God’s Law? Namely, can God rightly judge those who have never heard of His Law by their conscience? Pastor Dale Partridge answers all these questions in this episode of Real Christianity.
Ep 199Romans 2:12-13: The Inescapable Condemnation of God’s Law
The Bible tells us that God’s Moral Law had a primary purpose—to bring awareness of man’s sin. Namely, God’s Law becomes the standard of righteousness that man cannot meet. In this episode of Real Christianity, pastor Dale Partridge exposits Romans 2:12-13 which demonstrates the universal and inescapable condemnation of God’s Law.
Ep 198Romans 2:6-11: The Coming Judgement of Jesus Christ
The Bible teaches that all people will individually stand before the judgement of God. How should Christians be thinking of this coming experience? More than that, how does God’s judgement on Christians relate to the Gospel of grace? What’s the difference between judgement and condemnation? Pastor Dale Partridge answers all these questions and more on this episode of Real Christianity.
Ep 197Killing Feminism With Biblical Womanhood
It’s becoming more and more evident that feminism is the place where true femininity goes to die. The issues are not around equal opportunity before the law but redefining womanhood altogether. But more than that, feminism has also insisted that masculinity must change. In a real sense, this call for change is truly a call for submission—to the superiority of women. In this episode, pastor Dale Partridge interviews author and filmmaker Rebekah Merkle on the topic of biblical womanhood and her new anti-feminism documentary “Eve in Exile.” Together, they approach tough theological issues revolving around gender and offer solutions from Scripture. Ep 196Romans 2:1-5: How to Spot a Legalistic Church
Legalism is the idea that our works contribute to our salvation. In the Old Covenant, under the Law, it was easy to draw the connection. However, in the New Covenant, it becomes more difficult to discern. the Bible teaches that salvation is monergistic. Namely, God does all of it. He initiates it and He secures it. As a result, we can give all the glory to God for our redemption. However, many churches believe in a synergistic salvation. That is, God does His part and you must do yours. This works-based salvation implies that your obedience either initiates or sustains your salvation. Again, this is unbiblical as we know that our righteous standing before God does not rest in our obedience but in the perfect obedience of Christ alone. In this episode, pastor Dale Partridge looks to Romans 2:1-5 to examine the key marks of a legalistic theology in hopes to free Christians from the bondage of a works-based Gospel.
Ep 195Why Every Christian Must Share the Gospel
Less than 10% of Christians share the Gospel with one person per year. But why? What’s driving this negligent posture to evangelism? In this episode of Real Christianity, pastor Dale Partridge shares the three reasons why Christians are so hesitant to engage with this Great Commission work. But more than that, Dale shares about Relearn.org’s newest ministry project MailtheGospel.org
Ep 194Romans 1:28-32 The Tragic Ending for Every Atheist
Christians often believe that the consequences for atheists are reserved for after death. But that is simply not the case. Romans chapter one clearly demonstrates God's immediate and cascading judgments for those who reject Him and turn their worship toward idols. In this episode of Real Christianity, pastor Dale Partridge covers the last verses of this opening chapter and unpacks the climactic and tragic results for the atheist. Namely, the absolute divine withdrawal that leads to utter character degradation. Follow along and learn important biblical doctrines that will strengthen your understanding of God and His justice. Ep 193Homosexuality: The Sum of Self-Worship
Ep 192Romans 1:24-25 How God Deals with Atheists
Ep 191Romans 1:18-23: The Evidence for God in Creation
Ep 190Why You Must Commit to a Biblical Church
Ep 189Romans 1:17: The Doctrine of Justification by Faith Alone
Ep 188How to Overcome Fear When Sharing the Gospel
Ep 187Romans 1:8-15 The Test of True Christian Love
The Bible is clear—the evidence of our faith in Christ is seen in our love for others. 1 John 4:19-20 says, "If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen." In this episode of Real Christianity, pastor Dale Partridge preaches through Romans 1:8-15 where the Apostle continues his salutation to the Roman Christians. In this passage, it becomes evident that Paul both loves and longs to be with other Christians. Is this desire true of you? Do you love and long to be with God's people? In this sermon, Paul's example becomes a helpful measuring rod against our own affections for our brothers and sisters in Christ. Let's look to Paul's words and see how we might find wisdom in strengthening our relationships with the brethren.
Ep 186Romans 1:1-7 Can Trust the Writings of the Apostles?
The Nicene Creed has been recited by millions of Christians. In fact, Christians still recite the creed all around the world. In the creed, there’s a line that says, “We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.” Now the word “catholic” here simply means universal, not Roman Catholic. That is, the creed states a belief in one church that is holy, universal, and apostolic. What does it mean to have an apostolic church? First and foremost, it means we believe in Gospel doctrine that’s built upon the writings of the twelve Apostles of Jesus Christ. But what makes an Apostle? In addition, how can we trust the writings of these twelve Apostles? What validates their authority and how can we be sure that what they are writing is congruent with the teachings of Jesus? In this episode of Real Christianity, pastor Dale Partridge confronts these questions as he delivers his sermon on Romans 1:1-7.
Ep 185Romans: An Introduction to the World’s Greatest Book
The epistle to the Romans is Paul’s magnum opus—his most exceptional work. Today, pastor Dale Partridge begins his journey preaching through this important New Testament book. As we will see, it is this epistle is the most important exposition of the Gospel ever written. It is, in my opinion, the most meaningful and vital piece of literature on earth.
Ep 184What 'Where Two or Three are Gathered’ Really Means
Ep 183Should Christians Judge? If So, How?
In Matthew 7:1 Jesus says, “Do not judge so that you will not be judged.” What does this mean? Is this a universal command? If so, how is the civil court system called to exercise justice? How are Christians to exercise church discipline? How are parents to correct their children? After a more careful examination, it becomes clear that Jesus’ words cannot be a carte blanche command. So what does Jesus mean in this passage? How are Christians to think about judgement? In this episode of Real Christianity, pastor Dale Partridge confronts these questions with careful exposition.

Ep 181The Meaning of “By His Stripes You Were Healed”
Thousands of Christians use this passage to state that Jesus' work on the cross was not only for sin but also for sickness. They believe the healing this passage speaks of is referring to an immediate physical healing not only spiritual healing. They believe this healing can be applied now by faith. This interpretation belongs within the greater prosperity gospel position. But is it right? Are these people's interpretations of this passage accurate? Is Peter speaking of access to immediate physical healing through faith in Christ? In this episode of Real Christianity, pastor Dale Partridge applies the grammatical and historical hermeneutic to examine the words and context to arrive at a faithful reading and theological understanding of the passage.
Ep 180The Most Misinterpreted Scriptures: 2 Peter 3:9
How we interpret Scripture is vital. If we believe wrong about how we view God, His promises, or His commands the consequences are substantial. As many of you know, bad theology hurts people. In this episode, pastor Dale Partridge starts a four-part series covering four of the most misused and abused passages of Scripture.
Ep 179Ephesians Bible Study Part 8: The Six Weapons of Spiritual Warfare
The final episode of our 8-part series through the book of Ephesians. In this episode, pastor Dale Partridge teaches on the famous “Armor of God” passage and instructs Christians how to protect themselves against spiritual conflict.
Ep 178Ephesians Bible Study Part 7: The Biblical Roles of a Husband and Wife.
Imagine attempting to play a game of chess without any roles or rules. Unfortunately, that’s how most people approach marriage. However, like chess, having clarified roles and rules does not make the game more difficult, it makes the game possible and even enjoyable. The same is true in marriage. God has provided clear roles and rules for husbands and wives that makes a path for marital success and joy. In this episode, pastor Dale Partridge looks to Ephesians 5:22-27 to unpack and extract the biblical roles of a husband and wife.
Ep 177Ephesians Bible Study Part 6: Identity Determines Activity
In Matthew 7:16-17, Jesus teaches us that identity determines activity. He says, “You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes, nor figs from thistles, are they? So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit.” In this session, pastor Dale Partridge covers Ephesians 4:17-24 and explains how the Apostle Paul demonstrates this same truth in a different way. In short, as Christians, we are to walk in a manner that represents our identity and our activity should reveal our identity. We are to put off the old self and put on the new self. We are to crucify the flesh and put on Christ.
Ep 176Ephesians Bible Study Part 5: Finding Unity in Our identity
Unity is an abused term in the church today. Yes, we need unity but never at the cost of purity. We must fight for both. Today, pastor Dale Partridge looks to Ephesians 4:1-6 to extract a biblical definition of unity. But more than that, this passage of Scripture presents the grounds for our earthly unity—our unified bond with Christ.
Ep 175Ephesians Bible Study Part 4: The Boldest Prayer Ever Prayed
How are we to pray when our hearts are troubled? When we lose hope and fear takes hold of us, how are we to come to God in petition? In this episode of Real Christianity, pastor Dale Partridge looks to Ephesians 3:14-21 to exposit what has been called by many theologians “the boldest prayer ever prayed.” Together, Dale will take you verse by verse to extract the theological meaning and application for the modern Christian.
Ep 174Ephesians Bible Study Part 3: How to Cherish the Grace of God
God wants us to know the immeasurable riches of His grace. He wants us to know the magnificence of Christ. However, we cannot grasp these realities until we grasp the darkness of our story. One theologian said, “The worse we realize we are, the greater we realize God’s grace is.” That is the essence behind this episode. Dale Partridge looks to Ephesians 2:1-7 in an effort to understand who we were before Christ.
Ep 173Ephesians Bible Study Part 2: Our Identity in Christ
In a generation of Christians who struggle with identity and value, Ephesians chapter one offers the believer a treasure of truth. In this study, pastor Dale Partridge looks to verses 1:3-6 and unpacks the rich blessings given to Christians in Christ.
Ep 172Ephesians Bible Study Part 1: The Treasury of the Saints
Ephesians is known as “The Bank of the Believer” or the “Treasury of the Saints” because of it’s dense population of promises for the Christian. In this episode of Real Christianity, pastor Dale Partridge starts an eight-week study through the book of Ephesians in hopes to bring believers deep into hope we have in Christ.
Ep 171The Kind of Men the Church Needs
The current political climate has revealed the character of many men in the church. It has shown the courageous and the cowards, the bold and the blind. Fortunately, trials, persecution, and cultural hostility tend to make the dividing lines more clear. That is, we can see clearly who stands with the world and who stands with Christ. But what has also been clarified is how few true, biblical, faithful ministers are out there. We have been made aware of the great need for more mission-minded, Gospel-focused, and Bible-committed men. In this episode, pastor Dale Partridge calls for these type of men in his commencement speech delivered at the 2021 graduation for Reformation Seminary.
Ep 170Standing For Truth at Holiday Gatherings
It has been said that two topics are not permitted at holiday family gatherings: Religion and politics. But is this a biblical perspective? Should Christians refrain from these often emotionally charged topics at holiday gatherings? In this episode of Real Christianity, pastor Dale Partridge explains why he believes silence is not an option and how Christians have a duty to speak the truth in love.
Ep 169What is Biblical House Church? (2021 Edition)
As we begin to see an increase in cultural hostility against the evangelical church, more Christians are searching for alternative but biblical expressions to the traditional corporate church. In this episode, pastor Dale Partridge talks about the biblical house church and how it might be just the right solution for this next generation of Christians. Listen to Dale answer five common questions about house church and see if gathering in homes is right for you.
Ep 168A Christian Defense for the Celebration of Christmas
For some, it may be shocking to find out that some Christians refuse to celebrate Christmas. It’s true. Some Christians believe that Christmas is rooted in paganism and have chosen to abstain as an act of personal holiness. While we celebrate the freedom we have in Christ to make such a choice, we also believe in the call to reason with one another in love. In this episode, pastor Dale Partridge looks at the Doctrine of Days, the history of the church, and the Bible to present three reasons Christians should continue to celebrate and commemorate the incarnation of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Ep 167Spiritual Death, Spiritual Life, and the Need to be Born-Again
Soteriology is the study of salvation in Scripture. Unfortunately, most Christians don’t have a robust comprehension of how they were saved. That is, they don’t understand the biblical process of lost and found or spiritually dead and spiritually alive. In this episode of Real Christianity, pastor Dale Partridge takes listeners through a systematic study of what it truly means to be born-again.
Ep 166Why Does God Allow Evil in the World?
It’s not secret, we live in a sinful and evil world. People all around us are suffering. The world is filled with pain and hatred and violence. In addition, we also have disease, sickness, and failing bodies. In short, we live on a sin saturated planet. But if God is truly loving, all-powerful, and good, why does He allow such evil to remain? In other words, what’s the purpose of evil? In this episode of Real Christianity, pastor Dale Partridge turns to the Scriptures to examine these questions and respond with answered backed by the Bible.
