Show Notes
In May 2020, 19-year-old Eleanor 'Ellie' Williams uploaded a series' of horrific photos to Facebook, photos that showed a beaten and bleeding Ellie. The caption that went with them detailed serious allegations of abuse, sexual assault and trafficking.
The post went viral and hundreds of thousands of people across the world joined the #justiceforellie movement. Vigilantes targeted the accused abusers and Ellie's hometown of Barrow-In-Furness was soon at the centre of a huge investigation.
But the day after that Facebook post went up, it was Ellie who found herself in a police cell. And what was about to unravel, was almost unreal.
But it wasn't. This is Real.
