Linda Elovitz Marshall & Brenda Rosenbaum are on the podcast to celebrate Linda's beautiful #PictureBook Rainbow Weaver. This book introduces us to Ixchel, a young Mayan girl living in Guatemala. Ixchel collects and washes colorful single use plastic bags, cuts each bag into thin strips, then weaves the plastic strips into a colorful fabric that looks like a beautiful rainbow just like the weavings of Mayan women before her.
