286. Interview with Estelle Giraud, Co-Founder of Trellis Health: How a PhD Scientist Experienced a Gap in her own Healthcare and Co-Founded a Company Around the Solution

Estelle is a PhD scientist who has worked at the front line of emerging technologies in healthcare and genetics.  She has always been passionate about improving human health and health data systems.   It was while navigating her own pregnancy that she experienced frustrating gaps in her prenatal care as she was treated by different physicians.   

She spoke with dozens of women, and discovered that her experience was not unique.  It was from this she saw a massive opportunity to build a better healthcare system from the ground up that created a better consumer experience. 

She co-founded Trellis Health, an all-in-one platform that leverages technology while restoring the sacred relationship between the physician and patient.  Estelle believes people don’t neatly fit in single boxes, and some of the most interesting insights about people and the world come from the unplanned intersections. She brings authenticity and openness to tough conversations about the hard problems we face, and thrives in finding new understanding through conversation.
