Den 12:e juni 2017 hittas ett äldre par döda i sitt hem på en gård utanför Mantorp. Deras ansikten är tejpade, halsarna avskurna och de har rånats på pengar. Polisen inleder en förundersökning om mord, men det kommer dröja flera månader innan man har en gärningsman på spåren, en gärningsman under tiden levt ett lugnt familjeliv som om ingenting har hänt.
