Never a dull moment in the FTX saga. One of the exchange’s co-founders, Gary Wang, and former Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison have pleaded guilty to multiple charges of fraud and are cooperating with authorities, says the U.S. Attorney General for the Southern District of New York. Separately, the SEC and CFTC have filed civil charges in which the SEC claims FTX’s native token, FTT, was sold as a security. Katie Talati, director of research at Arca, joins Marco Olivera to discuss the news, the crypto investment landscape and institutional adoption (just as Twitter introduces crypto price charts into its platform).
