Show Notes

Hackers siphoned millions of dollars from FTX users through a phishing scam on a fake 3Commas website in the latest exploit of crypto security. At the top of today's Real Vision Crypto Daily Briefing, Nico Brugge and Ash Bennington discuss details of the attack and FTX's plan to compensate victims, which Sam Bankman-Fried warned is a "one-time thing." That's not the only news involving SBF: Over the weekend, the 30-year-old billionaire faced some backlash after his proposal and thoughts on regulation made waves on Crypto Twitter. Nico and Ash also talk about crypto-staking platform Freeway suspending services and withdrawals, a move reminiscent of now-bankrupt crypto lenders Celsius and Voyager. Later, Joe Zhao, a partner at Millenia Capital and a former Federal Reserve economist, joins our hosts to share his insights on the current state of markets.
