North Carolinas softball team, despite a valiant comeback attempt, fell short in a 6-5 loss to California. Trailing by six runs mid-game, the Tar Heels were sparked by junior Emily LeGettes two-run homer and senior MC Eatons solo shot. Despite loading the bases in the seventh and scoring one run, they couldnt secure the tying hit, leaving nine runners on base and going zero-for-seven with runners in scoring position. The team aims to bounce back in the series finale on Sunday.
