NC States Trask and Stack Win Election After Dewberry-Butler Disqualification
A special review committee at NC State upheld the disqualification of the Dewberry-Butler campaign for student body president and vice president, clearing the path for Knox Trask and Hubbard Stack to take the top spots. The committee ruled unanimously that there was no clear proof the board of elections got it wrong, as the barbecue event promoted by the campaign could be seen as campaign-sponsored and a possible way to sway votes, breaking the elections handbooks bribery rule. Trask and Stack won with sixty-eight point nine percent of the vote, while Dewberry and Butler are banned from running for or holding any student government office for the rest of their time as students.
