Zaas, formerly of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, will lead Dukes expansion of clinical services across North Carolina, replacing Dr. Craig Albanese who joined Kaiser Permanente. Known for his patient care and organizational management skills, Zaas has deep ties to Duke, having previously held roles like heading the worlds largest lung transplant program and serving as president of Duke Raleigh Hospital.
