Breeze Airways Expands RDU Network: New Nonstop Flight to Provo, Utah
Breeze Airways is adding a new nonstop flight from Raleigh-Durham International Airport to Provo, Utah, starting October 2nd. This marks the second direct option to the state for Triangle travelers. The airline now serves forty nonstop destinations from RDU, making it the busiest airport in Breezes network.
Breeze has rapidly expanded at RDU this year, launching service to five other cities: San Antonio, Madison, Birmingham, Tallahassee, and Atlantic City. Passenger numbers at RDU on Breeze more than doubled last year to nearly 660,000. The airline has also established a crew base there, planning for over 200 pilots and flight crew.
Breezes first international route from the Triangle to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, began on March 4th. A second route to Montego Bay, Jamaica, was delayed until December due to hurricane damage. Breeze typically chooses airports near big cities but not the main hubs, like those outside New York or Los Angeles. The airlines base in a Salt Lake City suburb aligns with this new Utah link.
