Children of Men is one of the few masterpieces of the 21st century. Directed by Alfonso Cuarón, it tells the story of a world where women have been infertile for 18 years, which has lead to the collapse of the majority of civilization. The film follows a former political activist who must safely smuggle the first pregnant woman in years to safety while evading the last fascist government and anarchist political groups. Children of Men's relevance is stronger than ever as it tackles themes of infertility, illegal immigration, dictatorial governments, classism, poverty and activism.
