Konrad Lorenz widmete Jahrzehnte der Beobachtung von wilden Graugänsen. Das Gänsekind Martina wurde durch ihn weltberühmt, und Lorenz selber bekam für seine wissenschaftliche Arbeit 1973 den Nobelpreis.
