Ayer vimos a Manuel Merillas rebajar en casi 37m el reciente record de ascenso y descenso al Teide que con 6h18m fijara Pau Capell hace apenas unas semanas. Merillas coronó en 3h28, mejorando así la plusmarca de ascenso solo que en 2013 marcó Agustí Roc. En el descenso, igualó el tiempo de 2h07 que tenían tanto Capell como el anterior recordman David Lutzardo.
