De verde olivo, amaneció la ciudad de Santiago de Cuba, el 30 de noviembre de 1956. Ese día fue el epicentro del alzamiento armado, liderado por Frank País, con el objetivo de ofrecer apoyo al desembarco del yate Granma, que transportaba desde México, a los expedicionarios al mando de Fidel Castro.
