Con la presencia del General de Ejército Raúl Castro Ruz, líder de la Revolución Cubana y Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, Primer Secretario del Comité Central del Partido Comunista de Cuba y Presidente de la República, comenzó en esta ciudad el acto central de homenaje por el aniversario 65 del levantamiento popular armado del 5 de Septiembre de 1957.
