El historiador es un obrero del tiempo. Rolando Rodríguez García fue un creador en ese taller donde el reloj subraya el quehacer intenso de la humanidad. Martí creía firmemente que, de amar las glorias pasadas, se sacan fuerzas para adquirir las glorias nuevas. No muere el hombre que trabaja en esa fuente perpetua de tanta carga simbólica.
