This week saw the re-launch of the Tumaini Peace Initiative, with a renewed focus on prioritizing the implementation of agreements once reached. The parties involved in the ongoing talks here in Nairobi have reaffirmed their commitment to finding a sustainable peace agreement for South Sudan.
As we look ahead, the question remains: Can the Tumaini talks deliver a peace agreement by Christmas, offering the people of South Sudan the most precious gift of all?
