Location, location, location. Today we tackle coop placement and prep. How to determine the best place for your new chicken (or duck) coop. Some considerations are using an underutilized space, or having it close to the house so you can see it, should it be in the sun or the shade? The ground has to be level for our coops to be assembled, but there are different ways to level, or you can build a base. Should it be pressure treated wood base or concrete? Matt and Kristen give all the reasons for different considerations in coop placement and prep.
