Gracias al trabajo realizado por el agente del Ministerio Público del fuero común de la Unidad Especializada en la Investigación de Homicidios Dolosos de la Procuraduría General de Justicia del Estado (PGJE), un Juez de Control vinculó a proceso a Geovanny N., y Juan Carlos N., exdirector y excomandante de Seguridad Pública y Vialidad del municipio de Nopalucan, respectivamente por el delito de homicidio calificado.
