La Comisión Estatal de Derechos Humanos (CEDH) emitió la recomendación 06/2023, dirigida a la titular de la Procuraduría General de Justicia del Estado (PGJE), Ernestina Carro Roldán, por el caso de violación a derechos humanos a la legalidad y seguridad personal, trato cruel, inhumano o degradante en contra de una mujer y tortura para obtener información o la confesión de alguna persona, a partir de sufrimientos graves físicos, en el caso de un hombre, a quienes pretendieron acusarlos indebidamente del delito de extorsión.
