Questa è la storia di una impresa teoricamente impossibile. E di un lupo di mare, anzi un toro: è il soprannome che la stampa affibbia a Günther Prien, il tenente di vascello al comando dell'U-47 che nella notte fra il 13 e il 14 ottobre 1939 entra nella base inglese di Scapa Flow, nelle Orcadi, e affonda la nave da battaglia "HMS Royal Oak" divenendo un eroe di guerra in Germania. Prien assurge al rango di leggenda tra i sommergibilisti e tale diventerà anche per circostanze misteriose della sua morte.
