(00:00-27:19) – The Fan Midday Show opens on a Monday with Will Haskett and Jimmy Cook dissecting game two of the NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets, how there are two blueprints in place for teams to build their roster, and which route they believe the Pacers should go in the draft.
(27:19-42:39) – We come back from break with Will and Jimmy discussing the news that was just announced shortly before the start of the show that the Indianapolis Colts have signed veteran wide receiver Breshad Perriman. They discuss what kind of role they could see him having within the Colts locker room and on the field.
(42:39-48:08) – Will closes out the first hour of the show by asking Jimmy if coaching really matters in the NBA because of the turnover at the position this offseason around the teams that were playing in the post-season this year.
(48:08-1:13:38) – Pacers beat reporter, Dustin Dopirak, of the Indianapolis Star joins the Fan Midday Show with Will Haskett and Jimmy Cook to provide the news on how Trayce Jackson-Davis’s workout went today with the Indiana Pacers, what he expects Kevin Pritchard and company to do with the five picks they have in the upcoming draft, how big of a drop off the talent is after Brandon Miller, and accesses the value of Buddy Hield and Myles Turner.
(1:13:38-1:30:10) – During their conversation with Dustin, there was a reference to the Pacers trading with the Portland Trail Blazers for the third overall pick to land Brandon Miller. Will and Jimmy start looking at potential trade packages the Pacers could offer Portland to land the third overall pick that works for both sides financially.
(1:30:10-1:38:05) – The one o’clock hour concludes with Brian revisiting the story of a lady’s car getting hit by Kyle Kirkwood’s tire at the Indy 500 because Penske Entertainment announced that they’ll get her a new one. This leads to Brian questioning Jimmy and Eddie if they have ever named their car.
(1:38:05-2:05:31) – The final hour of today’s show consists of Will and Jimmy continuing their discussion on the Indianapolis Zoo with Will making a visit there this morning and then transition to comparing the NBA Combine to the NFL Combine. Eventually they go into the specific workouts that the NBA prospects go through during the combine.
(2:05:31-2:15:47) – Will and Jimmy put their creative minds together to try and come up with a way for local sports media personalities to compete in a decathlon featuring various sports. They discuss some possible events.
(2:15:47-2:28:22) – We close out this week’s show with Will and Jimmy discussing Victor Hovland winning the 2023 Memorial Tournament. Additionally, Jimmy shares his JCook Plays of the Day, Eddie shares a couple plays, and Will puts his seven year-old daughter on the spot to make some picks.
